Didn't know we were naked because nobody told us,
felt like nobody could be but in awe to behold us
(we were in awe of everything back then).
But we pull skins around us that aren't even ours, now,
dress up like the animals we know that we are now.
Show myself to you, then cover up again.
It's an instinct, but it's brand new,
'cause I feel you looking at me the way I'm looking at you.
Once we loved all the animals and gave them their names
but now you'd never even know it to hear them complain,
cries that cut like knives when we lie down in the dark.
Our old friends see us coming and remember what we've done,
smell us on the wind and they know they've got to run.
Little eyes like wandering stars that watch us from afar.
It's an instinct, but it's brand new.
Feel them looking at me the way I'm looking at you.

HPL - acoustic guitar, vocals, bass, electric guitar, tambourine.
I'm in awe of the stories Eric tells with such an economy of words here. The magnificent arrangements and weighty vocals, which seem always about to fade into sigh or groan, also help. Harrison Lemke
I made a video game, and this is the soundtrack by my Casiotone guitar pop / ambient / experimental music project. That's a weird digression but sometimes life is like that. Harrison Lemke
It may not be a full-fledged LP, but All Delighted People is probably my favourite of Sufjan's works. Without an overaching album theme to tie the songs together, it felt like Sufjan was free to experiment on each track and give them their own unique sound. And because of that (and Sufjan's talent), every track on there is a standout track. Angkasawan
Charming German indie pop with the keen melodic sensibilities and melancholic undercurrent of some of the style's best practitioners. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 26, 2021
Despite its themes of isolation and loneliness, Caroline White's latest batch of folk-pop confessionals is an LP brimming with confidence. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
